Buses Edinburgh Macarthur Glen

New emission

stamps have been issued on almost any topic imaginable. Just flip through a catalog to see the wide variety of topics shown on stamps. There are also stamps that illustrate precisely ... other stamps. This theme is called "Stamps on stamps (stamps on stamps in English) and is widespread among collectors.

There are three kinds of designs that are considered within this theme:

- stamps that reproduce fully a stamp, usually historical or famous. Are called type "A".

Argentine stamps 1899 and 2004, which reproduces the original.

- stamps that reproduce parts of another stamp, but not the entire stamp. Are called type "B". The second stamp shows the design of a stamp, which is partly the first, issued a few months earlier.

- stamps showing other stamps in their design, but these other stamps are fuzzy, fuzzy or do not have enough detail to be identified. They are called "U" (for "unidentified" in English).

In some cases, illustrated stamps can not be identified, to be just drawings or being too small and barely visible.

The first country to issue stamps on stamps was Spain, in 1881. He did it in stamps for "Postal Franchise," which was a concession to an individual. In this case, is a concession to Antonio Fernández Duro, to distribute his book "Historical and Descriptive Review of the postage stamps of Spain." The drawing is a book that contains the image of a stamp, but is very sketchy and no one comes to identify.
The first country to fully play a stamp, was Brazil in 1934.

The first stamp on Argentina stamp was issued in 1940 to commemorate the centenary of the first stamp in the world.

First block of stamps on stamps issued by Argentina. Stamp plays several "classic" nineteenth century.

And if "Stamps on stamps" seems a bit self-referential theme, here are a couple of examples that go beyond.

First Mexican stamp, 1856. In 1956 he launched the environmental stamp for a stamp exhibition. And in 1963 he launched the third for a new stamp convention. It is the only example I know of "Stamp on stamp on stamp."

Stamp "recursive" in Nepal, how many times you play?
